 There are so many convenient transfer options between Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) and downtown Baltimore, Washington DC, Annapolis and other surrounding towns.
A myriad of trains, buses, limos, taxis and shuttles ensures you will be able to reach any destination with a minimum of fuss. The BWI terminal is situated just off I-195.
Travel by Trains
Amtrak has a station situated near the airport, with trains running to Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Wilmington and Alexandria. Frequent shuttles link the Amtrak station and the terminal. There is also a Light Rail system, linking the airport with downtown Baltimore and Hunt Valley, as well as MARC trains, which serve Baltimore and regional locations.
Travel by Buses
An extensive network of express and local buses operate between the airport and Baltimore, Columbia, Laurel, Greenbelt (Washington DC), Odenton, Glen Burnie, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's. Contact the airport for details on bus timetables.
Travel by Shuttle Buses
SuperShuttle and the Airport Shuttle operate commercial shuttle services from the airport to destinations in Baltimore and regional Maryland towns. SuperShuttle buses await passengers directly outside the Lower Level of the terminal building.
Travel by Hotel Shuttles
All of the main accommodation providers in the surrounding area can arrange courtesy customer pickup and drop off at BWI. It's best if you arrange services between yourself and your hotel prior to your arrival for maximum convenience. Pickups are made just outside the Lower Level of the terminal building.
Travel by Limousines
Private Car / RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation serves Baltimore Washington International Airport, providing VIP services between the airport and surrounding cities and towns. You should prearrange your limousine well before your planned arrival at BWI to ensure that there are no delays.
Travel by Taxi Cabs
There are hundreds of taxis operating between BWI and neighboring destinations, most of which have flat rates depending on the distance of your journey. Taxi stands are located just outside the Baggage Claim area of the Lower Level of the terminal.
